Many of us humans have a rather negative perception of insects. Some diseases of the bite and spread, destroying crops and other others are a nuisance and can cause feelings of disgust.
However, insects can feel the neighbors, which are essential for the health of our planet, in some ways that may surprise.
There are about a million insect species have been classified on Earth, and some scientists believe there may be millions - even tens of millions - but we have not yet studied. The International Union for Conservation of Nature estimates that 1,212 insect species are currently in the categories of "near threatened" to "off".
While this may not seem all that much given the large number of insect species in existence, each playing an important role in nature. Some species also contribute to their designated local ecosystems, which would be significantly disrupted if there were these species.
Probably the best known insect advantage of their role in pollination of a wide range of plants. In fact, about a third of the food comes from crops pollinated by insects, and 80 percent of the third is only pollinated by bees.
We would be able to enjoy ten percent of the fruits and vegetables that are available to us now, if we are not bees image. Animals also would face this problem without bees and other pollinating insects, as many of their natural food depends on pollination too.
The role of insects in the food chain of our planet is vital. Many predatory insects keep other insect populations under control in some cases, that could transmit diseases to humans. Spiders, for example, while repulsive to some people, eating mosquitoes, which are known to spread malaria and other diseases.
The butterflies also eat mosquitoes. Ladybugs eat aphids often destroying a variety of cultures. In addition, many animals eat insects, and some insects are their only source of food.
Another important ecological role of insects is their management of natural waste. Many insects such as dung beetles, eat feces and dead animals, possibly allowing them to reintegrate with the ground.
When a dung beetle eat stealing their eggs, the eggs of flies are destroyed, which control the fly population. Cockroaches also play a role in the decomposition of plants and animals decay.
Mayflies and stillness including dinettes can help humans to ensure the quality of freshwater. Scientists have found that if you do not have a stream insects fluttering around, there is a strong possibility that the water is contaminated, as they are very sensitive to water toxicity.
So while insects can not be the first to come to mind when you think of endangered species, this kind of body is very important to consider. Without the variety of your business cartoon insects, the whole ecosystem would be in ruins.
